Alright, from some reports and rumors I've been reading and hearing recently, I can say that FCA will most likely not merge with GM or Ford, because of their focus on the American market and on parts of the European one, such a move would see a lot of opposition from politicians, investors and unions. And it wouldn't be too smart too compete with each other.

This leaves Asia, and there are a few possible scenarios, depending on how big the possible partner is.

FCA could either buy Mazda or Mitsubishi's car division.

FCA could form a partnership of equals with Honda, or merge on equal tearms.

Or Toyota could take control of FCA, making the Agnelli family a lot richer.

Leave Mazda alone! I like what they're doing just fine, thank you.

Although FCA probably needs Mazda so they can increased their average fleet fuel economy. FCA is pretty much dead last in just about every category.

Apparently because they have one the lowest profit margins in the industry, one of the biggest debts, and developing new technology is expensive.

Having bits of a hypercar in the picture, is better than having Marchionne daydreaming, alone in that picture.

By refinancing their debt or or by capital infusion from the current investors or by selling more Ferrari shares.

Hmm, first I've heard of it. Sounds interesting but it doesn't seem like anybody really wants it besides FCA.
